贊曰：此滅後行。長表金剎以金為剎，梵云掣多羅。彼土更無別幡竿，即於塔覆鉢柱頭懸幡。今云「剎」者聲訛也。有所表故，名為長表。

The Eulogy says: This is the practices after their extinction. "Long standard golden spires" means using gold to make the spire, which in Sanskrit is called chetuoluo (chattra/kṣetra). In that land there are no separate banner poles; banners are hung directly on the pillar at the top of the harmikā of the stūpa. Saying chà now is an erroneous phonetic abbreviation. Because it indicates something, it is called a "long standard."
