前來五十二緣，此經因起，頌曰：初四三各七，五七六有六，七八四九一，十有五應知。

The preceding fifty-two conditions are the causes for the arising of this sūtra. The verse says: / The first, fourth, and third have seven each, / the fifth has seven, and the sixth has six, / the seventh and eighth have four, the ninth has one, / and the tenth has five, it should be known.
