1.52

二周說法，初皆放眉間白毫，上不以頂，下不以足，放眉間者，表二周說，皆中道也。初周明一道清淨，即一乘也。第二周明一法身清淨，真實身也。

In the two cycles of preaching the Dharma, at the beginning of each, [the Buddha] emitted the white curl between his eyebrows; it did not go upward from the crown, nor downward from the feet. Emitting it from between the eyebrows signifies that the preaching in both cycles is the Middle Way. The first cycle illuminates that the single path is pure, which is the One Vehicle. The second cycle illuminates that the single dharmakāya is pure, which is the real body.
