Second, the one verse summarily praising the stimulus and response of both physical and mental karma. When the three poisons are raging fiercely and the mind is not at ease, it is called distress. The four types living together each spoke of their suffering: the pigeon said lust is the greatest suffering, the snake said anger is the greatest suffering, and so on. A woman's suffering of having no children is as explained above. Or, dividing it into two lines, correlating them with mind and body, it can be understood through detailed analysis. If one undertakes a contemplative interpretation, the ten turns are being distressed by the three poisons. And regarding beyond the realm [of saṃsāra], one should interpret them in terms of concordant and discordant dharmamukhas, applying the above meaning to resolve the meaning of the three poisons. Physical karma lacking children means lacking children of cultivated causes, up to lacking children of the perfect and sudden; search the above text to resolve it. If the two karmas of mindfulness in thought and physical prostration form the capacity, cutting off the roots of the three poisons and fulfilling the two adornments, they permanently eradicate the suffering of the world across the ten realms and three lands; hence it says, "The wondrous power of Avalokiteśvara's wisdom can save the suffering of the world." One should also further explain the foundational contemplation and compassion of the separate and perfect [teachings], and so forth.
