The commentary says: This is the fourth, verse-recapitulation part. To show that the extensive sūtra of the single taste preached previously is not different in general purport from what is preached subsequently, he recapitulates the previous extensive sūtra in concise verses, thereby initiating the subsequent concise discourse of the sūtra. The text has two parts: first, the introduction, and second, the verses. This is the narrator's introduction to launch the subsequent verses. "Agada" is translated here as "without departure" (*wuqu*), or called "destroying departure." This is the name of a medicine that can cause all illnesses to be completely destroyed; hence it is called "without departure." This bodhisattva is also like this, able to cure all the affliction-illnesses of sentient beings; hence he is named after this medicine.
Within the eight stanzas of verse, there are two parts: the first seven stanzas recapitulate the preaching of the sūtra, and the final one stanza recapitulates the entering into samādhi. Within the first part there are also two: three stanzas explain generally, and four stanzas show specifically.
