The treatise states: This is the second part, praising with a gāthā. In the gāthā there are three parts: the first two lines generally praise the one who is able to teach; next, four lines praise the preceding doctrinal explanation; the final two lines praise the preceding explanation through analogies. In the beginning, "Has taught the Dharma that produces thoughtlessness" means teaching sentient beings to accomplish the Dharma of thoughtlessness, which is ultimate awakening. "Through thoughtlessness, the mind is non-arising" means being devoid of thoughts of saṃsāra, accomplishing a mind of non-arising. The words "The mind ever arises without ceasing" briefly versify the prose text, which says "the mind ever safe and tranquil" up to "constantly present and not nonexistent," because the word "arises" means "present" and the word "ceases" means "nonexistent." "Single awakening is the benefit of innate awakening, benefiting all those with innate awakening": among those sentient beings, none lacks innate awakening; therefore it says "all those with innate awakening." The lower two lines versify the previous four analogies; the general versification may be known.
