2.71

論曰：此下第二廣演本利之義。於中有二：一者直廣、二者重演。初直廣中，先問、後答。以何利轉者，是問能化轉利義，問前導諸之句。而轉眾生等者，是問所化轉諸識義，問前去去之句。一切情識，即是八識。唵摩羅者，是第九識。真諦三藏九識之義依是文起，如彼章說。

The commentary says: From here on is the second [major section], broadly elaborating the meaning of the original benefit. Within it there are two [parts]: first, directly elaborating; second, re-elaborating. In the first direct elaboration, there is first a question and then an answer.
'By means of what transformative benefit' asks about the meaning of the transformative benefit of that which can transform; it asks about the previous line 'Leading the multitudes of living beings.'
'Does one transform all the conscious minds of sentient beings, etc.' asks about the meaning of transforming the various consciousnesses, which are that which is transformed; it asks about the previous line 'going and going.'
'All conscious minds' refers to the eight consciousnesses.
'Amala' is the ninth consciousness. The Tripiṭaka Master Paramārtha's doctrine of the nine consciousnesses arose based on this text, as explained in his essays.
