經曰 佛言：「如是。何以故？一切眾生本來無漏諸善利本，今有欲刺為未降伏。」
The sūtra states: The Buddha said, “So it is. Why is this? All sentient beings originally possess the root of all wholesome benefits that are undefiled, but now they possess the thorn of desire and have not yet subdued it.”
