經曰　「善男子！常法非常法，非說亦非字，非諦非解脫，非無非境界。離諸妄斷際，是法非無常，離諸常斷見，了見識為常。是識常寂滅，寂滅亦寂滅。」

The sūtra states: / 'Good sons! The permanent Dharma is not a permanent dharma, / not an explanation and not letters, / not truth and not liberation, / not nonexistence and not an objective realm. / Free from all limits of erroneous annihilation, / this Dharma is not impermanent. / Free from all views of permanence and annihilation, / with complete vision, the consciousness is permanent. / This consciousness is permanently quiescent and ceased, / and quiescence and cessation are also quiescent and ceased.'
