經曰　爾時地藏菩薩言：「法若如是，法即無待。無待之法，法應自成。」於是尊者而說偈言：「法本無有無，自他亦復爾，不始亦不終，成敗即不住。」

The sūtra says: At that time, Bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha said: 'If dharmas are like this, then dharmas are without dependence. Dharmas that are without dependence should be spontaneously established.' Thereupon, the Honored One spoke a verse, saying: / 'Dharmas fundamentally lack existence and nonexistence, / And self and other are likewise so; / Without beginning and without end, / In establishment and destruction they do not abide.'
