The treatise states: This is the second [part], resolving again. In this there are two: first, an objection; second, the resolution. The meaning of the objection says: If the dharmas of teaching expounded by the Buddha are not grasped objects, and thus are not utterly nonexistent like sky-flowers, then these dharmas should be spontaneously established, because being without dependence, they are just like true thusness. To resolve this objection, this verse is spoken. The meaning of this verse says: Because the Dharma expounded by me transcends designations and words, it fundamentally lacks existence, nonexistence, self, other, beginning, and end; whether established or destroyed, it does not abide. How could it be said to be spontaneously established? This reveals that his logical reason has the fallacy of contradiction: namely, that dharmas are without establishment and destruction because they are without dependence, like being without grasped objects, and also like true thusness. By this principle, his objection fails to stand, and since the objection does not stand, the doubt in question is resolved.
