經曰 「一者信位。信此身中真如種子為妄所翳，捨離妄心淨心清白，知諸境界意言分別。」
The sūtra says: "First is the stage of faith. One has faith that the seed of true thusness within this body is obscured by delusion; abandoning the deluded mind, the pure mind is clean and white, and one knows all sensory realms to be conceptual distinctions of mental speech."
