The sūtra says: The Buddha said, “Just so, just so! Why is this? The taste of the one taste of the real meaning is like a great ocean, which no streams among all streams fail to enter. Elder! The tastes of all dharmas are like those many streams: although their names and numbers differ, their water is not different. If one abides in the great ocean, one embraces the many streams; abiding in the single taste, one subsumes all tastes.”
