The sūtra states: Mind King Bodhisattva said, 'World-Honoured One! I have no attainment of anuttarā samyaksambodhi. Why? In the nature of bodhi there is no gain and no loss, no awakening and no knowing, no conceptualized characteristic. Within non-conceptualization is precisely the pure nature; the nature is without gap or mixture, without speech or explanation, neither existent nor non-existent, neither knowing nor not knowing. All practices that can be modeled upon the Dharma are also like this. Why? The practices of all dharmas have no observable location, because their nature is determinate. Originally there is neither attainment nor non-attainment; how could one attain anuttarā samyaksambodhi?'
