今分判文義，以五門分別：一歎聖臨機德量由致、二明藏攝分齊、三辨教下所詮宗趣及能詮教體、四釋經題目、五分文解釋。

Now, in analyzing and determining the text and its meaning, I distinguish them by five headings: first, praising the reasons and extent of the sage's virtues in attending to capacities; second, clarifying the scope of subsumption under the [piṭaka] canons; third, discerning the purport of the signified under the teaching and the nature of the signifier's teaching; fourth, explaining the title of the sūtra; fifth, dividing the text and explaining it.
