1.15

八見聞故者，示此無盡自在法門，唯是極位大菩薩境，而令下位諸眾生等於此見聞，而得成彼金剛種子不毀不盡，要當令其至究竟位故也。亦如〈性起品〉說。

Eighth, because of seeing and hearing: to demonstrate that this inexhaustible and sovereign dharma-gate, while strictly the realm of great bodhisattvas at the ultimate stage, is nevertheless made accessible to the seeing and hearing of sentient beings and others of lower stages, so that they attain that vajra seed, indestructible and inexhaustible, which will unfailingly bring them to the ultimate stage. This is also as explained in the 'Nature Manifestation Chapter.'
