六略本者，即此土所傳六十卷本，是彼十萬頌中前分三萬六千頌要略所出也。近於大慈恩寺塔上見梵本華嚴有三部，略勘竝與此漢本大同，頌數亦相似。

Sixth, the abridged recension: This is the sixty-fascicle recension transmitted in this land, which is an abridged extract of the initial portion of thirty-six thousand verses from that 100,000-verse recension. Recently, atop the pagoda of the Great Cien Monastery, I saw three copies of the Sanskrit text of the Avataṃsaka; when briefly compared, they all largely correspond to this Chinese recension, and the number of verses is also similar.
