Second, distinguishing according to the revulsion toward the conditioned and the aspect of the truths: the treatise explains that this is the contemplation of the reliance of defilement. As for "the distinction of the two truths," the treatise master intends that the relying mind-substance is the ultimate truth and the relying limbs of existence are the conventional truth, hence this single text is called the two truths. This explains the general statement of the text. As for "the contemplation of the accumulation through causes and conditions of the one mind defiled and conjoined," this explains the text below "why is that?" It means that the one mind is the true and the defilement is the conventional, which clarifies that this mind, conjoined in following defilement, jointly differentiates the two truths; this is the "undefiled yet defiled" and so forth in the Śrīmālādevī.
