13.62

三約順大悲分別者，謂諸外道求異解脫以為涅槃。菩薩觀之，是十二支三有之法，隨順有求，妄取無色以為解脫，失於出世涅槃我德，菩薩愍此順起大悲。

Third, regarding differentiation conforming to great compassion: it means the various non-Buddhists seek a divergent liberation, considering it nirvāṇa. The bodhisattva contemplates it and sees that it is the phenomena of the twelve branches and the three existences; conforming to seeking existence, they falsely grasp the formless realm as liberation, losing the virtue of the self of supermundane nirvāṇa; the bodhisattva pities this and accordingly gives rise to great compassion.
