In the third major section, on the excellence of their fruition, the text divides into two: first, the fruition of practice; second, the fruition of stage. In the former, the treatise divides it into five: First, attaining remedial practice and separation from hindrances, which is the fruition that remedies the aforementioned superior pride. Second, attaining excellence of practice, which is the fruition of the aforementioned non-abiding path practice. Third, attaining samādhi, which is stated as a fruition relative to the aforementioned remedial excellence: that is, the prior cultivation of the three liberations was stated as the remedy, and as that remedy increases further, it is called the excellence of samādhi. Fourth, the indestructible mind, which is stated as a fruition relative to the aforementioned separation from hindrances: because hindrances are eliminated, the mind of samādhi cannot be broken, and is thus called the indestructible mind. Fifth, sovereign power, which is stated as a fruition relative to the aforementioned practice: that is, relying on the prior practice to advance upward without obstruction is called sovereign power. In the detailed explanation below, explaining these five constitutes five sections.
