第二離垢地知識內，初舉法勸修中，女夜天名者，最勝法界稱曰甚深，正智證入名為妙德。戒無誤犯之垢，智有照俗之功，故云離垢光明也。

Regarding the good friend of the second Stainless Bhūmi: first, in presenting the Dharma to encourage cultivation, as for the name of the female night goddess, the supreme dharmadhātu is called "profound," and direct realization through right wisdom is called "sublime virtue." Her precepts lack the defilement of inadvertent transgressions, and her wisdom has the efficacy of illuminating conventional reality; hence she is called "Stainless Light."
