19.127

第六現前地知識中，初舉法勸修中，道場佛眾並同前釋。妙德守護諸城者，依證智總持，智名妙德。常入一切城，故云守護。又以觀智守護心城，令離妄念故名也。

Regarding the good friend of the sixth, the Stage of Facing [Wisdom]: first, under citing the Dharma and encouraging practice, the bodhimaṇḍa and the Buddha's assembly are explained the same as before. "Venerable Virtue guarding the cities": based on the dhāraṇī of realizing wisdom, wisdom is called "venerable virtue." She constantly enters all cities, hence it says "guarding." Alternatively, guarding the city of the mind with contemplative wisdom, causing it to be free from deluded thoughts, it is therefore named.
