19.64

第三「城東」下明見敬申請中三：初明依報所在。城東林等者，於城攝化，栖託之便也。在彼說法，正明攝化之相。二「爾時」下見已設敬。三「白言」下申請中，前五體良久，以身表心。重稱己名，以語表心，顯愍重之極。又顯已是修行之器，悕其說法也。

Third, from "east of the city" downward, explaining seeing, paying respect, and petitioning, there are three parts: first, explaining the location of the dependent [environment]. The grove east of the city and so forth is the convenience for dwelling and taking shelter while gathering and transforming in the city. Preaching the Dharma there properly explains the characteristics of gathering and transforming. Second, from "at that time" downward, having seen him, he pays respect. Third, from "addressed, saying" downward, in the petition, first casting his whole body for a long while uses the body to express the mind. Repeating his own name uses words to express the mind, showing the utmost gravity of respect. It also shows that he is a vessel for practice, hoping for his expounding of the Dharma.
