Fourth, in revealing his own dharmadhātu, there are two parts: first, praising his arousing of the mind as an upāya for conferring the Dharma. Second, from "I have accomplished" downward, properly conferring his Dharma, wherein are three parts: first, indicating the name and presenting it in general; second, from "what is" downward, explaining the Dharma's meaning and function; third, from "I only" downward, concluding the Dharma with reference to the person. In the first, the spiritual power universally reaching the places of sentient beings is called "reaching all destinies." Therein, expounding the Dharma and benefiting beings is called the "adornment of pure practice." This reaching all destinies does not depend on effort but reaches everywhere spontaneously; hence it is called "without reliance and without contrivance." Not being upheld by other powers, it is called "without reliance." Not being one's own preparatory effort, it is called "without contrivance." This then accords with dharmatā and is omnipresent. In the explanation, he first queries, and later properly explains. In the proper explanation, he first reaches all destinies in this three-thousandfold realm, expounding the Dharma and benefiting beings to accomplish the adornment of pure practice. The "various treatises" are the five sciences and so forth. Second, from "like this" downward, he reaches all destinies in the realms of the ten directions to accomplish the adornment of pure practice. From "I only" downward, he concludes his own scope.
