20.60

第四「汝且觀我」下明舉益勸觀。於中二：初總明難聞見；二別成不退益，於中五句：一聞名益；二見等益，有七種相可知；三思念益，先約時、後約生；四「以如是」下總結益用、五明轉生益，二句，一聞修因生淨土、二見聞身生法身。

Fourth, from "You should just observe my" downward explains adducing the benefit to exhort contemplation. Within this there are two [parts]: first, broadly explaining that it is difficult to hear and see; second, specifically accomplishing the benefit of non-retrogression. Within this there are five clauses: 1. the benefit of hearing the name; 2. the benefit of seeing and so forth, which has seven kinds of signs that can be understood; 3. the benefit of recollection, first in terms of time, and subsequently in terms of rebirth; 4. from "with such" downward generally concludes the function of the benefit; 5. explaining the benefit of changing rebirths, in two clauses: first, hearing [it] cultivates the cause to be reborn in the pure land; second, seeing and hearing the body gives birth to the dharmakāya.
