Third, from "At that time, Samantabhadra" downward, within explaining the depth of the cause and the richness of the fruit there are three [parts]: first, question and answer to verify the seeing; second, explaining that the cause is deep and distant; third, explaining concluding the cause to accomplish the fruit. Regarding the cause, first, he explains the practices cultivated, in four clauses: first, broadly explaining cultivation over many kalpas; second, explaining the cultivation of giving rise to the great mind; third, cultivating the practice of giving as a householder; fourth, cultivating the path's practice as a renunciant. Second, from "Good son" downward concludes with ten clauses of practice, clarifying that expounding them is inexhaustible, which can be understood. Third, from "Good son, I attained" downward concludes the cause to accomplish the fruit. Within this, he first concludes that the cause has the efficacy to accomplish the fruit, and hence speaks of "powers," which has ten clauses that can be understood; second, from "attaining these powers" downward, the virtues of the fruit accomplished—within this, he first attains the fruit of the dharmakāya by means of the revelatory cause (vyañjaka-hetu), and subsequently attains the fruit of the physical body (rūpakāya) by means of the productive cause (janaka-hetu).
