八轉人者，先主後伴。小乘主謂釋迦生身及化身佛，聲聞弟子為伴。三乘主即三身佛，聲聞菩薩為伴，謂舍利弗等。一乘主謂盧舍那十身，普賢等菩薩為伴，亦如帝網重重現准之。

Eighth, as for the persons turning [it]: first the primary and then the retinue. In the Hinayāna, the primary refers to Śākyamuni's birth body and nirmāṇakāya Buddha, with the śrāvaka disciples as retinue. In the Three Vehicles, the primary is the three bodies of the Buddha, with the śrāvakas and bodhisattvas as retinue—namely Śāriputra and the others. In the One Vehicle, the primary refers to the ten bodies of Rocana, with Samantabhadra and other bodhisattvas as retinue, also to be understood as multiplying and manifesting like Indra's net.
