四釋文者，於此修因契果生解分一番問答之內，長分有三：初序分、二請分、三說分。此中序亦通第六會已來，請說亦爾。

Fourth, in explaining the text: within this single sequence of questions and answers belonging to the section on cultivating the cause, according with the fruit, and generating understanding, the major divisions are three: first, the introductory section; second, the request section; third, the preaching section. Here, the introductory [section] also extends continuously through to the sixth assembly; the request and preaching are likewise.
