四釋文，中二：先問、後答。以對緣巧願，非智不熟，故智首問也。顯事近而趣遠，微妙難知，故文殊答也。

Fourth, explaining the text, which contains two parts: first, the question; second, the answer. Because skillful vows in response to conditions cannot be mature without wisdom, Zhishou asks. To reveal that the matters are immediate while the aim is far-reaching, subtle and difficult to know, Mañjuśrī answers.
