二來意者，初會來為答前十迴向問故。又前明解行，今起大願，若不起願恐證無為，故次來也。又迴前解行向於真證故也。二品來者，將欲說法，先辨所依處，故明也。又前會既終，赴後之始，故先辨此。

Second, the purpose of coming: first, the assembly comes in order to answer the previous questions on the ten dedications. Furthermore, previously understanding and practice were clarified, and now great vows are generated; if vows were not generated, there would be fear of realizing the unconditioned, hence it comes next. Also, it turns the previous understanding and practice toward true realization. Second, the chapter's coming: being about to expound the Dharma, one first distinguishes the place relied upon, hence it is clarified. Furthermore, the previous assembly having ended, this is the beginning of responding to the next, hence this is distinguished first.
