Second, from "At that time, Sudhana" downward explains entering in accordance with instruction. Within this there are three [parts]: First, he pays respect and takes his leave. Second, from "At that time" downward, he proceeds to that place. Now, returning from Maitreya back toward Mañjuśrī, he again traveled through one hundred and ten cities; thus we know that from the beginning up to Maitreya, he must have passed through one hundred and ten [cities]. As for reaching the universal gate, this is because the particular is gathered back into the universal; that is, the preceding diverse stages are gathered back into this universal gate of Mañjuśrī. Third, from "Contemplating" downward, he gives rise to thoughts and inquires. Here, the Chinese version of the sūtra was missing seventeen lines of text; now, collating it with the Sanskrit text, they have all been translated and supplied.
