Fourth, from "If there is faith and reverence" onward, there are fifty verses explaining the section that can extensively take in the stages of practice. Within this, there are two parts: first, taking in practice; later, from "If one generates the unsurpassable bodhimind" onward, explaining taking in the stages. In the former, it first clarifies the practice of faith and reverence toward the Triratna, and later clarifies the practice of faith and compliance toward the Triratna. In the former, first there are three verses clarifying that faith in the Buddha accomplishes two practices: the first two accomplish the practice of upholding the precepts, and the latter one accomplishes the practice of making offerings. Second, there is one verse showing that faith in the Dharma accomplishes two practices, namely the practice of hearing the teaching without satiation, and the practice of joyfully realizing the inconceivable. Third, there is one verse showing that faith in the Saṅgha accomplishes two practices, namely the essence of faith being indestructible and the power of faith being immovable. Below, in clarifying the practice of faith and compliance toward the Triratna, the first two verses treat complying with the Saṅgha to accomplish two practices, namely those with sharp faculties abandoning bad friends, and drawing near to good friends to cultivate superior practices. The next one treats complying with the Dharma to accomplish two practices, namely understanding the practice-dharma of cause and effect, and accomplishing the fruition-dharma of liberation. The final verse treats complying with the Buddha, also with two practices, namely complying with the protection of the fruition Buddha, and giving rise to the causal arousal of the mind. The above has concluded taking in practice as the skillful means for entering the ten abodes.
