自下於如來前金剛藏道場上，普賢菩薩令善財得十不可壞智慧法門。此一位令入顯因廣大相法。又此上所求諸善知識種類有五：一約位，有五十四，如前辨。二約主伴，有一百一十也。三約同教，見大千世界塵數知識。四約別教，見十佛世界塵數知識。五約稱法，約通十方無盡世界，則見虛空法界等不可說不可說諸善知識。

Next below: before the Tathāgata, upon the Vajragarbha bodhimaṇḍa, the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra caused Sudhana to attain the ten dharma-gates of indestructible wisdom. This single position caused him to enter the dharma of the characteristics of manifesting the vastness of the cause. Furthermore, there are five categories of good friends sought above: first, in terms of stages, there are fifty-four, as analyzed before; second, in terms of host and retinue, there are one hundred and ten; third, in terms of the common teaching, he saw good friends as numerous as the dust motes of a trichiliocosm; fourth, in terms of the distinct teaching, he saw good friends as numerous as the dust motes of ten Buddha-worlds; fifth, in terms of according with the Dharma, pervading the inexhaustible worlds of the ten directions, he then saw ineffably ineffable good friends equal to empty space and the dharmadhātu.
