Second is the indestructible dedication. In the prose, there are two parts: first, the practice of the station; second, the fruit of the station. In the practice of the station, there are three: namely, citing, explaining, and concluding. As for the first, citing the name and raising the inquiry: that is to say, toward the ten kinds of superior objects, such as the truths and jewels, deep faith is firm and solid, hence obtaining the name 'indestructible.' However, ten signifies inexhaustibility; faith extends through phenomena and noumenon. Thus the Benye [jing] says: 'Contemplating all dharmas as merely having function and merely having names, moment to moment not abiding, is therefore called indestructible.' From this we know that roots of goodness and dedication both penetrate the non-obstruction among phenomena; only then is it truly indestructible.
