Third, generally vowing that the roots of goodness universally encompass dedication: whereas the above three sections specifically explained roots of goodness only in terms of forming offerings to Buddhas, now, wishing to show that these roots of goodness leave nothing unaccomplished, this is explained once more. Therein are two: first, the simile, meaning that the principle of the two selflessnesses universally encompasses noumenon and phenomena without failing to be all-pervasive. Second, the application of the doctrine from "All my..." onward has twenty phrases: the first twelve phrases encompass the accomplishment of virtues of self-benefit; the later eight accomplish benefit for others; both are clear and can be understood.
