Second, the land body possesses ten marks: the first eight are marks of all [aspects], and the latter two are marks of the real meaning. Among the former: the first three are marks of delimitation, namely the small, middle, and great chiliocosms; the next two are the distinctions of defiled and pure; next, broad refers to the distinction between broad and narrow, though here narrow is omitted; the next two are distinctions of support and abiding. Among the real, entering completely in a single fold is called universal entering; because the ten directions are interlaced, it is called the net of directions. Furthermore, because it manifests layer upon layer, it is mostly identical with the first stage.
