Second is the fruit of the station. In pliant seasoning, first is pliant practice: in the doctrinal explanation, receiving the distinctions of worlds, and so forth. "Immeasurable illumination of the Dharma" takes sentient beings and wisdom-sambodhi equally. When the treatise calls this "the mark of their causes," it is because the dharmas received serve as the causes for sovereignty. In the simile, using true gold to make the crown of the ruler of Jambūdvīpa illustrates attaining the pure stage, because body and mind are superior. Because in this stage the retributive practice is fully mature and one possesses sovereignty over the three worlds, it is specifically applied to the king. "Without peer" illustrates that the light of the roots of goodness becomes increasingly bright and pure. Third, from "Sons of the Buddha, just as..." downward is the purity of wisdom for teaching. The Brahmā king radiating light everywhere surpasses the previous sunlight for three reasons: first, it is multiple; second, it is pure; third, it is vast.
