Ninth, from "in the past, future, and present" onwards explains roaming in the equal dharmatā of the three times, which is contemplating the Tathāgata's virtue of giving vyākaraṇa. Because the aforementioned activities of benefiting sentient beings through preparatory application are entirely equal across all Buddhas of the three times, it is explained next. This means that within the equality of the three times, he can readily understand events that have occurred or are to occur in the past and future, all just as in the present, and bestow vyākaraṇa accordingly; therefore the sūtra below says, "universally seeing the three times". In the text, it first explains the meaning of the equality of the three times; hence it says the mind is constantly pure, attaining equality for oneself, and causing beings not to cling, making others equal. From "constantly giving" onwards directly explains vyākaraṇa, prophesying for the future so that it accords with the gotra of the past, which is also called equality.
