Sixty: Giving away material requisites. Because the specifically explained gates cannot be exhausted, at the end it explains all material requisites in general. The text has only two: first, the practice of giving; second, the practice of pariṇāmanā. Because it borders on the concluding summary at the end, it lacks the latter two. The first has four: 1. being free from faults at the time of giving; 2. from 'well reflecting' onward, discerning the basis of giving; 3. from 'according with all sentient beings' onward, directly clarifying the practice of giving; 4. from 'practicing this giving' onward, revealing the virtues accomplished. Second, from 'O sons of the Buddha' onward clarifies the practice of pariṇāmanā, within which are two: first, restating the preceding to introduce the following; next, from 'wishing that all' onward, directly revealing it. In the revelation are ten vows; as material requisites are manifold, the vows are also classified accordingly. 1. The vow to give washing requisites; 2. The vow to give sweeping and wiping requisites; the rest can be inferred accordingly. Furthermore, material requisites are explained collectively and vows are made collectively, not necessarily paired one by one. The above concludes the specific revelation of the pariṇāmanā of kuśala-mūla according to the headings.
