Forty-six: Praising the Buddha's appearance in the world. As above, in the verses of the youth Mahātejonidhi, the voice announced, and so forth. In the initial practice of giving, this is the practice of Dharma-giving, within which there are three [parts]: 1. seeing the Buddha arise in the world; 2. from "with great" onward, benefiting sentient beings through Dharma-giving; 3. from "at that time" onward, concluding with the benefits accomplished. Within the second [part], there are four [benefits]: first, the benefit of causing them to hear the name and leave delusion; second, from "furthermore" onward, the benefit of seeing the body and giving rise to practice; third, from "furthermore for" onward, the benefit of praising what is rare and increasing reverence; fourth, from "furthermore in" onward, the benefit of progressively multiplying. The conclusion of benefits can be understood. The second [part], pariṇāmanā, can be understood.
