Next, the direct explanation of the text. First is the compiler of the sūtra's narration. The reason it is spoken by King of Mind is because he comprehends the intent, and because the Buddha's life span is masterly. Second, from "Disciples of the Buddha" downward is the direct teaching. Within this there are three: first, separately raising ten lands in comparison with one another; second, from "Disciples of the Buddha, so it is" downward, raising the condensed to reveal the broad; third, from "The final world" downward, raising its ultimate mystery. For example, taking a kalpa as a day, before traversing ten tiers, the kalpas are already inexpressible. Submerging through millions of asaṃkhyeyas, the final land is already contiguous with the equality of the ocean of lands. Raising the point that Samantabhadra and others fill it completely clarifies the abode of the ultimate stage. Because of this, it is named so as to concurrently reveal the bodhisattvas.
