Second, within entreating to be pulled out and delivered, there are three divisions: first, thirteen verses praising the person and seeking the Dharma; next, fifteen verses praising the Dharma and seeking the vehicle; lastly, two verses concluding both person and Dharma together. In the former there are two: the first six verses, facing the preceding suffering and origination, hope he will deign to pull him out and deliver him; the latter seven verses, facing the loss of cessation and the path, hope to accomplish practice and fruition. In all of them, the first three lines praise Mañjuśrī's virtues, each verse having one virtue; the last line directly seeks conveyance and deliverance. Within the latter seven: the first one generally seeks his path; the next two seek the path of nirvāṇa; the next two seek the path of bodhi; the latter two seek the conditions for seeing the path. Second, within praising the Dharma and seeking the vehicle from "wheel of vows" downward, he also faces the preceding evil vehicle to seek the superior vehicle, which is different even from the two vehicles, not to mention galloping through the three realms. Divided into four within this: the first four seek compassion, wisdom, and samādhi, subsuming the vehicle of benefiting others; the next three seek the vehicle of the ten pāramitās for one's own practice; the next four seek the vehicle of benefiting both and extinguishing hindrances; the latter four seek the vast vehicle of conveyance. The four above correspond to the three worthy levels and ten holy levels; their text and meaning contain much, which can be grasped by the mind. Within the latter two verses concluding both together: the first verse concludes the Dharma with the vow to see it; the latter verse concludes the person with the request to be gathered in.
