16.40

疏「教望於義」下，謂四對之中，後二對中通於三釋，謂經中有大方廣佛華嚴故，如《對法藏論》，全取他名以目經故。佛華嚴有大方廣故，故云可思。

Regarding the commentary from "Teaching in relation to meaning" downward: it means that among the four pairs, the latter two pairs admit of three interpretations, meaning that the sūtra contains the Buddhāvataṃsaka-mahāvaipulya, just as the *Abhidharmasamuccaya-vyākhyā* takes entirely the other's name to designate the sūtra; and the Buddha's flower adornment contains the great vaipulya; hence it is said to be conceivable.
