18.23

疏「若揀別者」下，第二寄對以釋。仍含二意：一對凡名覺，對小名正，對因名最，對位極名成。二者對凡名覺，對邪名正，對小名最，對因名成。一時雙牒，如文思之。

Below the Commentary's statement, "If one differentiates," is the second part: explaining by way of comparison. It still contains two meanings: first, in contrast to ordinary beings it is called "awakening"; in contrast to the lesser [vehicle] it is called "right"; in contrast to the causal [stage] it is called "supreme"; in contrast to the culmination of stages it is called "attained". Second, in contrast to ordinary beings it is called "awakening"; in contrast to heterodoxy it is called "right"; in contrast to the lesser [vehicle] it is called "supreme"; in contrast to the causal [stage] it is called "attained". Both are cited at once; reflect upon this according to the text.
