Regarding the commentary's "They do not even create good..." and so forth: heterodox explanations of emptiness claim that it is vast and completely empty of things, or say that non-obstruction does not prevent the creation of evil. If one truly understands emptiness, good accords with principle; fearing the creation of agitation and disturbance, one does not even give rise to a mind that evilly contradicts principle to follow deluded impulses—how much less would one actually commit [evil]? If one claims that non-obstruction does not obstruct committing evil, why would non-obstruction not allow cultivating good practices and severing evil? Loathing the cultivation of wholesome dharmas out of fear of having an attachment, yet indulging one's impulses to commit evil—why does one not fear attachment then? This clarifies sentient beings of evil and great heterodox views.
