23.69

疏「亦表身為供養具」者，即解脫和尚歎佛說偈云「合掌以為華，身為供養具，善心誠實香，讚歎香煙布。諸佛聞此香，尋聲來相度，眾等勤精進，終不相疑誤。」疏「若別明者如文思之」者，若此之類顯義無方，類例相似即可引證耳。

Regarding the commentary's statement, "It also expresses that the body serves as an offering implement": this refers to the verse spoken by the Preceptor Jietuo in praise of the Buddha: "Joining the palms to serve as flowers, / The body serves as an offering implement; / A good mind is sincere incense, / Praises diffuse incense smoke. / All Buddhas hearing this fragrance, / Following the sound, come to deliver [beings]; / If the assemblies diligently exert vigor, / They will never doubt or go astray." Regarding the commentary's statement, "As for explaining them particularly, contemplate them according to the text": when demonstrating meanings of this kind, there are no fixed formulas; if instances and examples are similar, they may simply be cited as evidence.
