疏「成唯識」下，此下之文前已總引，今當略釋。大圓鏡智相應淨識，即果位第八，此是依因，依此頓變故。「由昔所修」下，此是行因。「從初成佛」下，辯其果相。初明竪長，後「周圓」下明其橫廣。

Regarding the Commentary from 'Cheng weishi' and below: The text below this was already cited generally before; now it shall be briefly explained. The pure consciousness associated with the great round mirror cognition is the eighth consciousness in the fruitional stage; this is the supportive cause, because sudden transformation relies upon this. From 'Due to what was cultivated in the past' onward: This is the practice-cause. From 'From first attaining buddhahood' onward: Distinguishing its fruitional characteristics. First it clarifies vertical length, and later, from 'Encompassing roundly' onward, it clarifies horizontal expanse.
