Regarding the commentary's "The Kośa says: the four great continents, the sun and moon..." and so forth: this text is easy to understand, universally illustrated by metaphors. A small thousand-world is like a thousand coins, a medium thousand-world is like a thousand strings of coins, and a great thousand-world is like a thousand groups of a thousand strings. But it only takes the First Dhyāna as the count, not speaking of above. If one brought up the Second Dhyāna and above, they would not share the same formation and destruction, because what is destroyed by the fire calamity is only the First Dhyāna. Therefore the Nyāyānusāra, fascicle thirty-one, says: "The heavens such as Minor Light are not subsumed within the small thousand-world. Accumulating small thousand-worlds to make a medium thousand-world, and accumulating medium thousand-worlds to make a great thousand-world, also does not subsume them." Commentary: from "Dīrghāgama eighteen..." onwards, second, analogously equates other texts. Below it cites two sūtras and four treatises, all agreeing with the Kośa. The Kośa is the eleventh [fascicle], Yogācāra is the second, the Treatise [on the Great Perfection of Wisdom] is the eleventh, the Samuccaya is the sixth, and the Prakaraṇāryaśāsana is the first.
