疏「情盡理現即名作佛」者，此順禪宗，即事理無礙門也。約普賢門，正是《華嚴》，即事事無礙門也。約行布說，此為千里之初步也。

As for the commentary's statement, "When feelings are exhausted and the principle appears, it is named 'becoming a Buddha'": this accords with the Chan tradition, which is the gate of the non-obstruction of phenomena and principle. Regarding the Samantabhadra gate, it is precisely the Huayan, which is the gate of the non-obstruction between phenomena and phenomena. In terms of gradual stages of practice, this is the very first step of a thousand miles.
