Regarding the commentary's "Because characteristics are the characteristics of the nature" onward: this directly explains the integration and interfusion. The text has three turns: The first turn directly explains unobstructedness. The second turn shows mutual completion, meaning that the immeasurable originally refers to the gradual progression of characteristics, while perfect interfusion originally refers to the equality of the one principle. Now, since perfect interfusion does not obstruct gradual progression, it accomplishes the virtues of the immeasurable. The next sentence is the reverse of this and can be understood. The third turn, from "Because the immeasurable constitutes the one, interfusion is subtly indistinct" onward, explains mutual completion without losing the original characteristics. Because the immeasurable constitutes the one, they interfuse without losing their original characteristics; thus, subtly and indistinctly, there seem to be two: because the one constitutes the immeasurable, they can be manifold; because they do not lose the single characteristic, they can interpenetrate.
